Starting thursday March 3rd, The
LIC Art Shuttle,
a project of the West Harlem Art Fund, Inc. will
operate two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to
5:30 p.m. Beginning near Grand Central, tourists, visitors and fellow
New Yorkers will start their journey going across the Queensborough
Bridge, stopping at local LIC hotels and drop off points where riders
can visit studios, galleries, art museums and nearby restaurants. Four
trips will be made per day to and from Grand Central and LIC on
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.30
am to 5.30pm.

Art began in 1969 as 55 Mercer Gallery in Soho, and moved to its
current location in newly renovated galleries on the ground level of
the Long Island City Art Center in 2008. It is an artist-initiated
not-for-profit gallery dedicated to bringing contemporary art
exhibitions to the public.
M55 Art
provides member artists an independent venue for exhibiting their work.
The gallery also reaches out to the community by providing exhibition
opportunities to guest artists and curators.
