Closing Party Reception: 5-8pm... 9pm on, MoFa: The unique opportunity to dress up and fake interest vis-à-vis the complex issues facing international Contemporary Art........ With an abundance of real art, we have fake art to boot this season.
 Its Armory Arts Week again, and here's a short list of what's in store.  4pm to 4am.

February 20 at 8pm, UnionDocs is proud to take part in MoMAs documentary fortnight with Inductive Thread, a performance-presentation on the history of our organization and screening of the Collaborative's work inspired by Roland Barthes' classic text Mythologies. Following this will be a benefit after party at The Space in Long Island City. More information coming soon!

Three LICCA Tours of Long Island City

The Long Island City Cultural Alliance offers three different options to attend events at institutions through the neighborhood.

 

The Armory Show, VIP programming, Long Island City Option 1

4:00 PM Join a walk-through of SculptureCenter’s current group exhibition: Leopards in the Temple.

5:00 PM Visit Matthew Ronay’s studio and discuss recent works with the artist.

5:45 Tour the Flux Factory’s Inaugural Show and visit Open Studios at its new 8000 square foot building.

7:00 PM Spend a special evening at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center featuring live performances in conjunction with the exhibition 100 Years (version #2, ps1, nov 2009) and taking place throughout the museum’s vast galleries.

4:00 PM Start the afternoon with a tour of the Noguchi Museum ’s exhibition Noguchi: Reinstalled.

4:45 PM Take a tour of Socrates Sculpture Park ’s EAF09: 2009 Emerging Artist Fellowship Exhibition with executive director Alyson Baker, weather permitting.

5:30 PM Join an informal discussion with Jon Kessler at the Fisher Landau Center for Art and see the Center’s current exhibitions, Five Decades Of Passion, Part Two: The Founding of the Center, and We Are the World: Figures & Portraits.

7:00 PM Spend a special evening at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center featuring live performances in conjunction with the exhibition 100 Years (version #2, ps1, nov 2009) and taking place throughout the museum’s vast galleries.

4:00 PM Meet for an exclusive tour of Kaikai Kiki New York , the U.S. studio of artist Takashi Murakami.

5:00 PM View Josh Smith’s exhibition at Deitch Studios: On the Water, A Show of Paintings in Long Island City : 47 Paintings, A Must See.

5:30 PM Take a tour of the Dorsky Curatorial Programs’ exhibition Manuel Piña: On Monuments led by the Gallery Director.

7:00 PM Spend a special evening at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center featuring live performances in conjunction with the exhibition 100 Years (version #2, ps1, nov 2009) and taking place throughout the museum’s vast galleries.
