THE SPACE PRESENTS MoFA: THE MUSEUM OF FAKE ART

MoFA, the Museum of Fake Art presents the 3rd annual viewing of original works by some of the world’s top fake artists. Walls are built stone by stone but Fake art is not.

Preview reception on March 5th: a unique opportunity to dress up and fake interest vis-à-vis the complex issues facing international Contemporary Art and simulate a direct involvement in the Curatorial and Exhibition process while acting as a catalyst for ideas about Fake Art and its practices. Recognized as a defining force of the Fake Art movement, MoFA is sponsored by The Space, a non for profit organization dedicated to the transformation of abandoned and underutilized buildings in Long Island City into exhibition and studio spaces for artists.

 

MoFA is devoted to the production, presentation, interpretation and dissemination of the FAKE work of innovative artists in all media, fostering creativity and uninhibited artistic exploration. Its programs reflect the complex nature of international contemporary art and stimulate discourse on the art of our time. This MoFA 's exhibition strives to be of the highest quality and to investigate the dynamic and provocative nature of FAKE art. Overall, MoFA aims to provide an engaging environment for artists to question ART in our contemporary culture.
